I hereby represent that, pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR in conjunction with Article 81 section 1 of the Copyright and Related Rights Act of 4 February 1994 (consolidated text: Polish Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1191), I grant my consent for the (unit name) of the University of Warsaw to publicize my image recorded during * 3rd International Symposium on Intergroup Communication in the form of photographs and recordings in particular by:

  • publicizing image for the purposes of event promotion and educational materials, including on the website: websites of the University of Warsaw, the Faculty of Psychology UW, and the ISIC3 Conference, as well as the social media of the University of Warsaw, the Faculty of Psychology, the Center for Research on Prejudices, and other websites associated with the University of Warsaw.

I hereby waive:

  • the right to control and authorize each use of my image, including the right to provide authorization in relation to the final form of the University of Warsaw materials where my image is used;

  • the right to have the details of a person visible on specific materials, e.g., conference program, website, promotional materials, etc in each case and in particular to have their name and surname indicated;

  • any claims, including those for compensation, against the University of Warsaw for using my image for the purposes set forth herein.

This consent shall be free of charge, unlimited as to quantity, perpetual and worldwide. My image may be used for various forms of electronic image processing, cropping and
composition, without the obligation to obtain final product acceptance, however, not in any insulting forms or forms generally believed to be unethical. My image shall not otherwise violate my personal rights. 

I hereby represent that the processing of my image for the above-mentioned purposes related to the
participation in the ISIC3 Conference does not violate my personal rights and I am aware that I have the possibility to view the materials, in which my image is published, at any time.

Data Controller

The controller of your data processed as part of “3rd International Symposium on Intergroup Communication” is the University of Warsaw, ul. Krakowskie Przedmieście 26/28, 00-927 Warsaw.

Data Protection Officer (DPO)

The controller designated a Data Protection Officer whom you may contact at: iod@adm.uw.edu.pl

You may contact the DPO in all cases regarding your personal data processing by the University of Warsaw and executing your rights related to personal data processing.

However, the DPO’s duties shall not include other matters, such as providing information on the event you are participating in.

Purposes of the processing and legal basis for data processing

Your personal data shall be processed for the purpose of publishing online at the websites of the University of Warsaw, the Faculty of Psychology UW, the ISIC3 Conference, and related social media channels (e.g. X, Facebook). The grounds for personal data processing is Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR (personal data processing consent) in conjunction with Article 81 section 1 of the Copyright and Related Rights Act of 4 February 1994 (consolidated text: Polish Journal of Laws of 2018, item 1191). 

You can withdraw your consent for using your image at any time by sending an e-mail to: isic3.conference@psych.uw.edu.pl. 

Please also be reminded that withdrawal of your consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on your consent before its withdrawal

Data retention period

Data shall be processed for a period not longer than necessary to achieve the purpose specified above or until the time you withdraw your processing consent.

Data recipients

Access to your data will be granted to authorized employees or associates of the Controller, who must process personal data as part of their professional duties and tasks.

Entities that the Controller commissioned to perform certain activities entailing the necessity to process personal data may be data recipients. In order to ensure appropriate protection of personal data, the Controller signed data processing agreements with such entities. 

Rights in relation to data processing

We guarantee you the ability to exercise all your rights according to the principles specified by the GDPR, i.e. the right to:

  • access the data and receive a copy;

  • rectify (correct) your personal data;

  • restrict personal data processing;

  • erase personal data (subject to Article 17(3) of GDPR);

  • lodge a complaint with the President of the Personal Data Protection Office if you believe that the personal data processing violates the personal data protection laws. 

Obligation to provide data and consequences of failure to provide data

The provision of data is necessary to achieve the stated purpose, in the absence of your consent we will not be able to publish your data in accordance with the stated purpose.
